Love Live Sunshine: Awashima Marine Park

Let's clear one thing up. The writer here lacks purchasing power for a foreign anime enthusiast. Low purchasing power and Awashima Marine Park do not mix together.

Numazu - Awashima - Numazu Bus fare = 710yen x 2 = 1420yen
Awashima Marine Park Entrance fee = 1800yen
Total =  3220yen

However, Tokai Bus sells a package ticket, including the transport and admission fees for just 2130yen. Make sure to take advantage of it. It is available for purchase at the Tokai Bus Office at Numazu Station South Exit. You may also purchase it from the bus driver but do buy it at least 5 minutes before departure. I had made the driver angry by buying it, 2 minutes before the bus was due to leave.

I took the bus at 0825 and arrived at the Awashima Marine Park bus stop at around 0905. This left me 25 minutes to explore the surroundings before the Marine Park opened (S1E09). All photos are clickable for a larger image.
 
午前8時25分発のバスを乗り、マリンパークのバス停に9時05分に着きました。マリンパークが開くまで25分周りを探検しました (第1期9話)。写真は全部クリックして拡大できます。

I exchanged my Tokai Bus ticket at the ticket counter that appeared in LLSIF's Adventure Stroll. There is also a shop selling Sunshine goods in the building. It was soon time to board the Love Live Sunshine-themed boat to cross to the island (S1E04). The entry to the Marine park includes the round trip boat ride.

スクフェスのお散歩ラリーで登場したチケット売り場で東海バスの切符を交換し船に乗りました(第1期4話)。 同じ建物にサンシャインのグッズを売っている店があります。マリンパークの入場料は船の往復の旅を含まれています。 

The boat docks on the island, at the walkway (S1E01) where Dia-san (S2E04) got trolled heavily by the dolphin.
船はダイヤさんがイルカ(第2期4話)にいじめられた橋(第1期1話)に着きます。

I decided to explore the island, going clockwise. I visited the small aquarium that featured in LLSIF before arriving at the Frog House, which Kanan's house is based on.

時計回りで島を探訪する事にしてスクフェスで出てきた小さな水族館に入った後、果南の家をベースされたカエル館に到着しました。

 

Predictably, the interior is full of frogs.

文字通りカエルがいっぱい居ます。 

 

Just beyond the Penguins is the entrance to Awashima Shrine (S1E04).
ペンギンを通り過ぎた所で淡島神社の入口です(第1期4話)。

Someone brought an Ema from Kanda Shrine!

I was unable to find the part of the steps where Hanamaru lets Ruby go ahead in the climb. Having descended back to the entrance, I continued going around the rear of Awashima. However, a powerful (Cat 2) Typhoon had hit Awashima directly on October 23, 2017 and destroyed some of the island's infrastructure, including those featured in Sunshine.

花丸ちゃんがルビイを先に行かせた階段の曲がりが見つかれず、入り口まで下り、淡島の裏を回りました。しかし2017年10月23日に台風23号が淡島を直撃したためサンシャインで現れた桟橋が。。。 

As the pier was cordoned off due to the damage, this is the best I can manage.
ダメージよって桟橋が立ち入り禁止だったのでこれが精一杯でした。

Near the pier is the Awashima tunnel (S2E10)

The tunnel took me back to the main side of the island and soon, I was at the Konpira Shrine (S2E03).
トンネルを通り抜け、島の表側に出てきました。金比羅神社に着きました(第2期3話)。

I had lunch, then watched the marine animal shows before leaving Awashima at 1350 (S2E04).
昼食とイルカショーを見た後、午後1時50分に淡島を出ました(第2期4話)。

Awashima can be done in 2 hours for a whirlwind, LLS-only visit, but it took 4.5 hours at a more leisurely pace.
淡島は急いだら2時間でサンシャインを探訪を出来ますがゆっくりしたら4時間半かかりました。
